Mixed race 51-year-old lesbian adopted into an all-white family as a baby. Grew up in Enfield and experienced bullying at school. Realised she was drawn to other girls from age of 10 but understood her sexuality in her late 20’s. Had been in a long-term relationship with a man who knew of her interest in women. Came out to herself after becoming involved with a female friend. Her mother said she had known since she was 3.

Started going out on the scene. Went to the first Black Pride in Southend with first back girlfriend. Talks about meeting and marrying her wife and raising her wife’s children from a previous relationship.
