Raised in Manchester, experienced racism at gay club there. Moved to London in his early twenties to live more fully. Worked at Black Lesbian and Gay Centre which empowered him in life and shaped his career in housing and activism.

Was involved in spaces and services available back then to Black gays and lesbians. Speaks about the importance of Tottenham and the Lesbian and Gay Unit. Has a supportive family; came out to his mother via an article in the Voice. Worked on the Stop Murder Music campaign. Happy to see the work of the BLGC and BAME activists documented.
